Role & Responsibilities
• Migration of existing VMWare servers and services to Google and/or AWS Cloud
Hosting
• Provision, install/configure, support, maintain all systems running Windows and
Linux
• Perform daily systems monitoring, verifying integrity and availability on 24x7
systems
• Research and development on the latest virtualization technology, tools, and
capabilities
• Perform on-call operational duties on rotational basis
• Support projects assigned to the infrastructure and operations team
• Document operations, administration and maintenance tasks
• Demonstrate cross-functional experience with systems, storage and networking
• Work within an agile framework focusing on LEAN principles
• Provide management with monthly reporting/forecasts on Cloud usage and
expected costs
• Limited travel required
Required Experience
• Understanding of virtualization installation and administration – experience with
VMWare vSphere is essential
• In depth working knowledge of popular Linux Operating Systems running LAMP
• Microsoft Windows 2012/2016 Server with an understanding of Active Directory
design and implementation
• Experience with Network and storage technologies (Firewalls, Switches and Load
Balancers)
• Good technical and support background in 24/7 production environments
Required Skills
• Strong analytical skills and exposure to hardware and operating systems
• Highly motivated to succeed, fast learner, with a positive attitude
• Absolutely must be a team player (DevOps)
• High level integrity, professional attitude, reliable and dependable
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Ability to understand the big picture as well as pay attention to detail and adapt to
change
• Degree in Computer Science along with or technical certifications in either AWS,
