Senior Developer (.net full stack)

• We are looking for a Senior Developer (.net full stack) to join our unique, fast growing gaming provider who specialise in delivering Agile/SCRUM SDLC projects to service our internal product range and our clients.
• In this position you will design and develop enterprise level mobile and web applications based on defined requirements, best practices and project timelines. As a Senior Developer you will make recommendations for tools, maintenance, testing strategies and assist with creating a maintainable application landscape alongside other Senior Developers and the Dev Lead.

Position Summary

• This job offers a unique opportunity to work in a high growth company, responsible for performing development duties throughout the project lifecycle. The Senior Developer is required to perform development tasks alongside other Development team members, interfacing with the Quality Assurance team, Product Manager, Project Manager and Business Analysts to ensure timely delivery and quality of code in line with development standards and principles, leveraging common development solutions and services.
• You will have an excellent understanding of the Microsoft Development Suite (Visual Studio .net using asp.net MVC, C#, SQL Server) alongside your HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, and CSS knowledge.
• You will also understand front end scripting languages such as AngularJS and JQuery and have experience with Unit Testing and Source Control environments in an Agile/SCRUM SDLC workflow methodology.

Role and Responsibilities

Your role and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following duties:

1. Software development

• Analyse, design and develop web and mobile applications with clean code
• Research new technologies, multi-tasking on multiple web projects with other team members

2. Process and development practices

• Follow software development processes and coding conventions, using Agile/SCRUM disciplines and principles
• Break down detailed specifications and implement business requirements based upon the needs of the company and its clients
• Troubleshoot issues in a timely manner in a highly scalable web environment
• Contribute ideas to improve process and development practices

3. Communication and collaboration

• Join daily meetings with dev team, weekly Agile/SCRUM meetings with product dev team and business owner, ensuring all relevant information to the team and project are shared and discussed
• Support and coordinate with other team members and our clients

Qualifications and Experience

• 6+ years of commercial development experience in the software development industry
• Experience on design UI and web layout, deep experience with responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility
• Deep understanding of Microsoft .NET Development Stack (VS.net using asp.net MVC, C#, SQL Server) and OOP development
• Understanding and use of WCF, LINQ, ORMs (Entity Framework)
• Professional in HTML, CSS and scripting languages such as AngularJS, JQuery, JavaScript
• Strong skills working with Web API, Ajax techniques with JSON and XML
• Experience with TFS or similar version control systems (SVN, GIT, Clearcase)
• Experience in Agile/SCRUM and Unit Testing, Continuous Integration/Delivery (Jenkins/CruiseControl/TeamCity), Test-Driven Development, noSQL solutions (Raven/Redis), Unit Testing (nUnit/MSTest)
• Very good written and oral communication level in English language

The following would be advantageous, but not mandatory skills:

• Experience in native mobile applications (iOS, Android) or Xamarin
• Experience with MEAN Framework
• Experience with code coverage, testing frameworks and refactoring code
• Experience using JAVA and C++
• Experience using LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP) and PHP Frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, Zend, Yii, etc)
• Experience in auto deployment tools
