To paraphrase Thomas Edison, "There's a way to do it better...find it." And that’s the maxim for First Recruitment Group. As a team we’re constantly driving forward, through our desire to create better solutions and improve service for all our clients…

Since becoming CEO in 2009, I’ve pushed the boundaries of recruitment industry norms and challenged the team to find better ways of working. Last year we took the bold step to implement Six Sigma and Lean techniques within our business. This rigorous approach to business improvement will be familiar to anyone in engineering or manufacturing, but it’s a relatively new concept in recruitment. 

By thinking creatively, we’ve been able to improve the overall effectiveness of our recruitment service for both clients and candidates.  It’s been hard work, but it’s certainly paid dividends.  Not only have we improved our processes, we’ve also seen a 50 per cent growth in sales last year and we’re on target for a further 30 per cent this year, taking our annual turnover to more than £100 million.

We’re now embarking on the next stage of our growth programme; opening new offices and entering new markets.  We’ve already moved into the FMCG industry with great success and acquired specialist consultancy Molto Legal.   We’ve also started recruiting for non-technical roles as our existing technical and engineering clients are now looking to us to provide a whole range of resources for their businesses.

I’m proud of the entire team’s passion, attention to quality and drive for success; it’s enabled First Recruitment Group to be recognised as an outstanding recruiter and market leader.  More importantly, it’s ensured that clients, once they choose to partner with us, always stay with us.
